THE BEST CONCERT EVER

I will talk about "creamfields", my best concert. It was November 2016 in Club Hípico, Many DJs presented in different stages, but I saw only a few.
I could see Tiësto (who closed the show), Marshmello who always wears a characteristic "mask" that covers his face, KSHMR, Oliver Heldens and Don Diablo.The truth is that at that time I knew only 2 Djs of those who appeared that day (Tiësto and Marshmello), but in the concert I met many more Djs and I started to knew more  the world of electronic music,

The show was incredible and magical, we all let ourselves be carried away by music, we jumped, screamed, danced, we hugged and even some they kissed. I felt happy, carefree, free, I got carried away by the music and enjoyed it with the friends who accompanied me. The only thing that could criticize the concert is the land that was in the environment, as it jumped up and the feeling was horrible (although I did not stop enjoying the moment).

The things that I remember most are the presentation of KSHMR, since I did not know it and I was very surprised by its presentation, and the closing of the show with Tiësto that was something totally magical, the show was with many lights, we saw the sunset and the videos us Transported to another place. Really  I would  like to go again.

A COUNTRY I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT

I would like to visit many countries, but in this moment the first on the list is Switzerland. I love their culture, education, that is a European country, which allows me to know many others countries,but above all I love their landscapes.

The truth is that I don't know much about this country, only what I've seen on television and movies, I know they make lots of chocolate, that have a great variety of landscapes and reliefs and that is has border with France, Germany and Italy (other countries that I that I would like to know)

If one day I travel I would like to visit whole the country, to know the Swiss alps, the lakes, their story and culture. Also I would like to study there, do some kind of postgraduate, or also work. I think that my work would be better paid and I would work fewer hours than here, so I would have time to enjoy the country and their people.

Your blogging experience

Well, today is my last blog and the truth is that this experience I liked a lot. I think it is a very entertaining way to learn English, besides being able to express what you think about various subjects. Also, this experience has helped me a lot to know about the lives of my other classmates and to know their ideologies and thoughts.

I feel that my writing has developed much more, compared to the beginning of the course, where it was difficult for me to translate my thoughts in Spanish into English. I hope I can continue to overcome, since I really want to learn this.

In the future, I would like to be able to share with people from other sections, comment on their blogs and know their experiences, I think it is much more entertaining and helps us to get to know better our university colleagues. I would also like to have a day off so that you can write what you want, or what you feel at the time, I think it would be very entertaining.

Finally, I would like to write a blog about my pets, the places we visited, the places we would like to visit, I do not know, there are many interesting topics!

From the invisible to the visible world and back...

Hi, today I'll tell you about the nanoliposomes.
It is a small hollow vesicle (50-200nm) whose double membrane is composed of a double layer of phospholipids and in an aqueous solution form a spherical structure. They have an identical composition to the cells of the organism (phospholipids).

They are used in the pharmaceutical industry to encapsulate and transport active ingredients without oxidizing or degrading them at the time of their liberation, such as fish oil or vitamin C. It is also used to incorporate active ingredients into foods, creams or cosmetics.
I'ts importance is that they are made of phospholipids, so it gives them the advantage of not being rejected by the organism. and serve to transport active substances that are very unstable and easy to oxidize in the human body.

These nanoparticles are a breakthrough for pharmaceutical science, since we can encapsulate a large number of substances in them and give different uses.At the moment it is being studied the future use of these molecules to transport active substance to anticancer cells and to eliminate them, in addition to the encapsulation of the fish oil and the incorporation of these in the foods.This would be a breakthrough for health, since it could find a possible cure for cancer, or on the other hand, incorporate efficiently the oil of fish to our organism would help us to prevent a lot of diseases.

Well, to say goodbye, I want to tell you that I decided to talk about this topic, because I had to expose about the encapsulation of fish oil in nanoliposomes last week, besides,  others classmates had to expose about the advances of encapsulation of anticancer in these particles and  its effectiveness.This seemed very interesting, since I discovered that the nanoliposomes can be used for various active principles, and may have different purpose of use, in addition they are super effective to transport any substance, reason why gives me many hope that in the future they can use for great purposes and cure many diseases!

The most enjoyable subject ...

Hello, today I will tell you about my favorite subject Organic Chemistry. 
I like it because I find it very interesting, and although it is a bit difficult and I do not have the qualifications I would like :(, I like to study it.I also find that it is a fundamental subject for our career.I have a laboratory of matter and another where everything is theoretical. In general I like the theorist more, since most of the time I do not understand what I do in the laboratory.The classes are divided into two parts, a seminar where exercises are done of the subject and a theoretical class.

In the classes I only pay attention and try to write down everything that the teacher  says, although often the theoretical classes are considered as already learned content,so that they professors omit content (and I don,t like it ) ,and in the seminars, we exercise what we have learned and we have evaluations.
The material I find interesting because it teaches us why and how the reactions occur in organic chemistry and makes me feel like a real scientist, although I'm missing a lot to be ajaj.
The teacher that I liked the most is Patricio Navarrete, he explains very well and in detail, I like that he does not use Power Point and only occupy the board, he is a great teacher.

Person/Expert you admire

Hello, today I will tell you about my favorite scientist Marie Curie.
Well she was a Polish chemist and physicist-nationalized French-of century XIX and XX.
Marie was born on November 7, 1867 in Poland,  and by the era it had to be limited to study in secret by the fact of being woman, until she moved  to Paris, where he studied Physics and Mathematics at the University of Paris. In 1894 he met his husband and research partner: physics professor Pierre Curie, with which he would end up elucidating important findings in the field of radioactivity.

In 1903 defended his doctoral thesis titled "Investigations on the radioactive substances", work that earned him the doctor's degree and the Nobel Prize of Physics in 1903 (shared with his husband Pierre Curie and his director of thesis Henri Becquerel).
Her last major academic recognition was the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, which was awarded to her in 1910 for the discovery of "Polonium" (named after her native country) and "Radio".
Finally she died at age 66 in his native country due to a disease derived from the high radiation to which she was exposed much of her life.
She I like it because it is an icon of women in science and society, was the first person to receive two Nobel prizes and was also a pioneer in the field of radioactivity, investigating its use for medicinal purposes.Besides She was the first woman to teach at the University of Paris, so for me it is someone admirable.

My Favourite Book and Film

Today I will talk about my favourite film and book. Well my favourite book is "La Tregua"of Mario Benedetti, because is very romantic and dramatic at the same time,also it is  a light and short book, which makes it easy to understand the story.The first time I read it was 4 years ago, when I was in 2nd grade of high school and then I read it again on the vacation of that year,because I loved it.

On the other hand my favourite movie is "Harry Potter" (all). I think it's a very complete saga, it has sad, happy and suspense moments,which makes one entertain the whole movie and is very attentive.
The first time I saw this movie was in 2002 in my parents' piece on a VHS (very old ajaj). From there I followed the whole saga and the last films I saw them all in the cinema with my parents.Today every time they broadcast it on TV I see it.I'm never bored to see them.

Finally, I recommend reading "La Tregua" because will be trap in the history, and the end of history will destroy them, because it is very unexpected, besides Mario Benedetti is one of the best Latin American writers.And harry potter I recommend it because it has excellent special effects, musical repertoire and is a complete story, where you go through all the moments, and fall in love with some characters and hate others.

A Photograph You Like

Throughout my life, I have been taken and I have taken many photos,so it is difficult to choose only one,but here we go.

One day, when I was 4 years old, my father came to the house with the best gift they have given me in life, my first pet, whom we later named as "Paquito."
He has been my life partner to this day, it has been 15 years with me, and the truth is that I can not imagine life without him.

Although I am embarrassed to publish the photo (by my appearance ajaj), it is one of the most special photos I have, since it was taken by my parents in the year 2000 when I was 4 years old (today I am 20), weeks after it arrived Paquito to my home
and it shows the amount of years that we spent together. It also brings back memories of my childhood and of what my life was like in the past.

Today I find myself living away from him, (since he is in Talca with my parents), but there is no day when I do not remember him and I beg him to be eternal and to accompany me all my life.

Music in My Life

Today I will tell you about music in my life.

Well,I can say that music is an important part of my life, because, because this constantly accompanies me,when I go on the subway, I study or even when I bathe.

The first thing I can say is that the taste of my music changes according to my mood or the seasons of the year.For example, in summer I like to listen to more cheerful music, like electronic music or reggaeton, but in winter or when I am sad I like to listen to Chilean music or classical music, Although I can highlight artists I always listen to, such as Manuel García, Coldplay, Yann tiersen, which made my favorite movie soundtrack, of the movie Amelie, among other artists.

A few years ago I tried to learn to play guitar,but then I left it for lack of time and interest, although I would like to learn someday,like some friends, but for the moment I do not know how to play any instrument . Also I like the sound of the charango, harp and violin, but learning to play one of these instruments I see as impossible.

I can say the music I liked when I was a girl, I still like it, although there are some groups that I no longer listen as often as Kudai or Miranda

Finally I can say that the films that I remember most for their soundtrack are the Disney movies, Amelie and the Titanic.

Giving your opinions

What is your opinion about smart phones?

I love smart phones because whit them do you can everything!  You can talk to friends or family, helps you schedule your daily routine, you can save photos and videos, you can study, among other things.

What is your opinion about women in the military?

I like that the role of women is changing in society. The woman is no longer seen as weak, but as someone with equal abilities that a man.

What is your opinion about the Chilean politicians?

I don’t like the Chilean politicians, because I think that your interest is the money and not the wellbeing of the chileans, although I can say that there are some that I can highlight, as Gabriel Boric or Giorgio Jackson with which I feel represented. I think we need to renew old Chilean politicians, to also renew the ideas.

What is your opinion about violence on television?

I think that it’s okay if is moderate. Today violence is everywhere, and it is good to be educated about it. The problems are the children, who often do not understand the context and can repeat the behaviors. That is why an adult always should know what children see. I want to add that today violence on television is everywhere, in TV programs, reality shows, in the news, among others, and it is becoming more and more common to see them.

What is your opinion about fortune telling?

Personally, I do not believe in such things, although it would be fun to read my fortune sometime. I believe fate is shaped with the choices we make, but depends on the beliefs of each person.

What is your opinion about soap operas on Chilean TV?

I love watch soap operas Chilean. I think that the Chilean actors act very well and represent very well the drama that they are living. I remember since I was a girl I saw the novels with my mother, from there at least I always see a novel. It's my moment of entertainment in the week, now I'm watching the novel "Perdona nuestros pecados"

 What is your opinion about legalizing marijuana?

I believe it should be legalized but enforced with strong laws the way alcohol. I think that out of all illegal substances it is the mildest. It is even milder than alcohol which is legal.  Also, marijuana has many medicinal and therapeutic uses that can help us as alternative therapy. Finally, I believe that with the legalization would reduce the drug traffic and the quality of the drug it would be better, preventing people from obtaining poor quality drugs.

What is your opinion about climate change?

I think that it’s real and it's the fault of humans. Sadly, our actions are at the expense of our own well-being and the planet and the other animals we share it with, biodiversity will decline because any species that can't adapt well to the change will either reduce or go extinct. I think that we should start the change now and take care of the planet every day, for us, for our future family and for the animals.

What is your opinion about cloning?

I agree if it is used for scientific purposes in benefit of humans or animals, but not when used in experiments that can cause some long-term damage. Unfortunately, I am not so knowledgeable about the subject, the only thing that is that in this moment is wanted to occupy for the recovery of sick people through a cell transplant, and that it’s okay!

What is your opinion about recycling?

I think that at this moment it is very necessary to have recycling techniques in our homes, since our planet is very polluted and it is necessary to clean it off. Personally, I love to recycle and I always try to do it.

What is your opinion about “barras bravas”?

I think that going to the stadium is becoming less familiar and entertaining, and the culprits of this are the so-called " barras bravas" that generate a violent space and makes people afraid to go and see a soccer match. I think they are uncivilized and stupid people.

What is your opinion about legalizing abortion in some cases?

I am in favor of abortion in all cases, because I believe that the woman has the right to decide on her body and her life. I believe that the woman has the right to be given the possibility of having a safe abortion, regardless of whether she has money or not. In developed countries, abortion is legal.

Your favourite piece of technology

When I was a child I dreamed of I having a computer because I found it very interesting and entertaining .

One day, when I was about 6 years old, my neighbors gave my parents an old computer, that was my first computer. As my parents did not have money to hire internet, I only played with "Paint", "Solitario" and "Buscaminas", but for me it was fine.

When I was about 10 years old my parents hired internet   and  I  f inally  got  to  know  world  of "social networks". I started to occupy Facebook, Fotolog and Msn, wich for me wasvery entertaining, because I could talk to friends or far relatives, besides listening to music, watching videos or just share ideas.

I had my first notebook when I was 14 years old, and for me it has been one of the best gifts ever. I can listen to music, watch videos o movies,study, talk with my friends or my family, keep my photos, among others things. I use it every day and the truth is that I don't know what I would do without it.

Why did you study your career?

When I was a child I dreamed of being Veterinarian, because I loved animals, and although I still do, I took a very different path. 

As I told in my previous blog, It was very difficult to choose a career, because I like the humanist area, and the scientific area. I thought about studying law, but it went a way it time. Also I thought about  engineering, I even I did one summer courses of mathematics in 2013, but I realized that I could not study mathematics all my life. After that year I did one summer courses of chemistry and it was then when I decided to study a career about chemistry.

First I wanted study biochemistry, but finally I decided study chemistry and pharmacy in the university of Chile.

My experience in this career it has been wonderful, everyday I like the most my career. I have also known great friends, which  make my life happy.

In the future I see myself working in the clinical area, because I have always liked help the people. My dream is to be in África  or Haití some day in a mission of health.

So far I hope to continue learning to be come every day a better professional.

Getting to know each other...

Hi friends, my name is María José , i am 20 years old and I am from Talca, although i am living in Santiago in university time. Hereunder I will tell you something about my life
I live whit my parents, my brother and two dogs, Paquito and Pelusa, in Talca. Besides I have another sister who has 3 children , but she lives in Linares.
I studied in school Carlos Spano of Talca to till the eight grade and then i entered to the high school Abate Molina where I graduated in 2015.
When I was in high school, i didn´t  know what to study, because I like very much read, but also I loved  chemistry. Finally I decided to study chemistry and pharmacy in the University of  Chile.
Although I always knew in the university that I wanted to study, it was difficult to make the decision when I postulated, since I knew that it would be complicated to live away from my family and besides they would come economics problems, but always i had the support of my parents.
This is my second year in Santiago, at first it was very difficult, but with the help of my friends from the university and the pension in which I am, it has all been easier.Today I  am a person  grateful for the people that I have by my side
